What We Do

Encouraging Self Confidence, Independence, Interaction with the Community

Woking Mind has a guiding philosophy of recognising the individual, and not the condition of their mental health. Our programmes are designed to enable our members to acquire new skills and develop responsibilities within their own lives.

We encourage our members to take ownership of their interaction with Woking Mind and this has led to the formation of independent groups. For example members have set up a Cinema Club and formed Woking Minders, a football club registered with the Football Association.

Woking Mind is actively building relationships with other organizations, for example with the Surrey History Centre (Read More) and Peer Productions as a means of facilitating interaction with our members and their community. Our members represent Woking Mind in mental health forums and community projects.
