We are looking for volunteers in the following areas:

Gardening Volunteer - to start up a new weekly gardening group commencing Spring 2017. We are looking for an enthusiastic gardener to teach our members the necessary skills to grow their own flowers, vegetables or herbs in our small patio garden, which will be undergoing a makeover during March. Ideally we would like the group to take place on Tuesday between 1.00-2.00pm but we can be flexible on this to fit in with volunteer & members.

Wednesday Volunteer - We are also looking for a friendly, flexible volunteer to help out at our weekly Wednesday ‘Lift-Up’ group. They will assist our volunteer artist, Duncan, with the art class & also help prepare a hot lunch for our members, assisting with the food shopping when necessary. Training in food safety hygiene would be helpful but not essential. Suggested hours 10.30am - 1.30pm but can be flexible.

Knitting’ Volunteer – Are you a keen knitter? Do you have an hour to spare every other Monday between 11.15am – 12.15pm to share your skills with a small group of our members & teach them how to knit? It will back to basics for the beginners and, for the more experienced knitters, some gentle encouragement to help develop their skills. We can be flexible if this day/times does not suit.

If we have enough interest in these volunteer positions we may be able to offer ‘job share’ to help reduce the weekly commitment required. The work will be truly rewarding & all we ask is that you bring along bags of energy & enthusiasm!
