Welcome to the Woking Mind website! We hope you find it interesting and informative.
Woking Mind provides local community based support for adults who are living with mental illness. We offer members a welcoming environment in which they can engage in enjoyable and constructive activities.
We are a charity that feels more like an extended family, where old friends can meet and new ones be made. Woking Mind is very fortunate to have excellent volunteers and organisations that support us to provide creative, sporting and intellectual activities, aimed at enabling members to cope better with life in the community.
We are also dedicated to promoting awareness and education on mental health issues in the wider community. We recently developed an on-line mental health education pack for secondary schools and also engaged the services of a highly qualified mental health trainer. We can now provide bespoke programmes for schools, youth groups and companies. We are very pleased to be able to include two major house building companies and the Historic Royal Palaces amongst the beneficiaries.
Our achievements are the product of the excellent rapport we have with our members, volunteers and local organisations.
