Do One Thing for

World Mental Health Day

Prioritising mental health has never been more important than it is now.

So this year, we want to bring everyone together to mark World Mental Health Day on 10th October.

Making positive change can seem so hard, especially during uncertain times. And sometimes, it can be hard to know where to start. Whether you want to take the first steps towards getting some help or learn more about helping those around you, our information and support will get you started.

Do one thing today

Whether it’s going for a walk, learning a new skill or doing something creative, taking the first steps to getting support for yourself, or reaching out to someone else; take the opportunity to do one thing this World Mental Health Day and download our resources to help you get started:

  • Change your Facebook cover photo and Twitter header photo to raise awareness about mental health.
  • Try out our Walking for Health walks to meet new people and keep physically active.
  • Visit our Wellbeing Activities page to try out some new activities.
  • Reach out to someone and encourage them by sending them one of our affirmations. Visit our Positive affirmations page to download.

Do one thing by accessing information and support

There are lots of different ways to get help and support for your mental health. Why not do one thing today and start with one of these options.

  • Visit our “Looking After You Mental Health” pages for our top tips and strategies to support your wellbeing.
  • Join one of our online peer support groups for an opportunity to meet other people in a similar situation, share experiences and coping strategies.

Do one thing at work

From lockdown, to furlough, to job losses. We’ve all found ourselves under pressure. Lockdown has affected us all in different ways, and it is only normal to feel uncertain about what the future holds. The stress of this uncertainty could be having an impact on your mental health too.

Whatever you’ve been through this year, World Mental Health Day is a chance to make a positive change for the mental health of your workplace. But it can be hard to know where to start sometimes. Find out more about our mental health awareness training and talks below.

Do one thing - fundraise for us

We need your help so we can be there on the other end of the telephone for anyone that’s finding things mentally tough right now.
