Our Mission & Values

We believe no one should face a mental health problem alone.

Every year, 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem. Most of us will know someone who is struggling or you may have challenges of your own. The reality of poor mental health is that it can happen to all kinds of people, from any walk of life and background. It can affect all areas of a persons life from their social iterations to financial situation. And it doesn’t just affect the lives of those struggling, but also the people around them. However, when there is the right combination of clinical, social and emotional support, people can and do start to experience positive changes in their mental health.

Our Mission

To improve the mental health and emotional wellbeing of the people of Surrey.

We are here for anyone that needs help with their mental health. We provide advice, support and training to empower individuals and organisations to help promote and manage good mental health and wellbeing for all.

Our Affiliation with Mind, the National Mental Health Charity

Woking Mind is an independent charity, but we are affiliated to the national charity Mind. This means that we meet high quality standards, have the benefits of a wide range of experiences and knowledge from a network of Mind associations but are able to work locally to meet the community’s needs. We are also responsible for funding our own services and are very grateful to everyone that supports our work with their donations and fundraising efforts.

The coronavirus pandemic is having a huge impact on mental health

Help us be there for those who are struggling to cope during this critical time
